Bill Lemons arbitrates, both domestically and internationally, complex commercial, construction, healthcare, financial and employment disputes. In addition to being an experienced Arbitrator on the Large Complex Case, Commercial Dispute and Employment Law Panels of the American Arbitration Association (“AAA”), he has chaired an international case for the International Centre for Dispute Resolution (the international affiliate of the AAA), and is a Member (MCIArb) of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators in London.
Bill is a Fellow of the College of Commercial Arbitrators, and a Mediator for Mediation Works Incorporated. He is also a Distinguished Neutral (Commercial, Insurance and Employment Panels) of the International Institute for Conflict Prevention & Resolution (“CPR”) and a Panelist for the American Health Lawyers Association ADR Service. He sits on several Dispute Review Boards, and has conducted arbitrations under JAMS, AAA, AHLA, ICDR and CPR rules.

Mr. Lemons graduated magna cum laude from the University of Houston Law Center in 1972 after receiving his BBA in Behavioral Management Science from the University of Houston in 1970.
Prior to being engaged in the full-time practice of arbitrating and mediating commercial disputes, construction disputes, healthcare and related cases as well as labor and employment disputes, Lemons has chaired or been wing in international and significant domestic commercial cases involving complex matters and lengthy proceedings pertaining to stock purchase agreements, trusts and fiduciary obligations, partnership dissolutions, refining, executive compensation, health care, intellectual property, environmental and offshore drilling technology. He taught the forty hour basic mediation course to mid-level management personnel of a large San Antonio based international construction company prior to their departure on assignment to China, and drafted and assisted in the implementation of the dispute resolution protocol and resulting contract provisions for a $470 million+ building program for the local community college district, including provisions for a Dispute Review Board.
Lemons has mediated or arbitrated numerous construction disputes, ranging from fabricated homes to significant residences to large commercial and investment properties. He recently chaired an ICDR case involving a Spanish corporation that is the third largest construction company in the world. Lemons has also chaired or been wing in numerous complex commercial cases involving physician/hospital service/employment agreements, physician practice agreements, non-competition and confidentiality agreements, partnership and/or practice group dissolutions, nursing home negligence and standard of care cases, healthcare provider/insurance company payment/billing disputes, and related intellectual property/technology/fiduciary disputes.
In the employment area, Lemons has chaired or been sole neutral in numerous cases (200+) involving statutory employment claims, collective actions under the FLSA, matters involving the ADA and the FMLA and scores of termination and equal employment opportunity/discrimination/retaliation disputes. Lemons has taught the 40 hour basic mediation course and dispute resolution skills to legal staff and HR professionals at numerous national corporations, and designed and implemented numerous dispute resolution programs.
