Courtroom Insight’s Interoperability Solves Platform Fatigue in Legal Tech

At the 2022 International Legal Technology Association Convention (ILTACON), law firms expressed that a major source of dissatisfaction was platform fatigue. Platform fatigue is the exhaustion experienced from switching between multiple apps or tabs in order to execute a task. For example, a survey on attorney’s research methods found that: when searching for an expert witness, attorneys often switched between online searches, email apps, and other resources. However, Courtroom Insight’s knowledge management solution tackles attorney’s platform fatigue through its interoperability.

Interoperability is when systems and software are able to exchange and make use of information. Courtroom Insight has partnered with LexisNexis to promote interoperability between their software. Specifically, the partnership allows “mutual customers to access Lexis+ and Lexis Context Analytics content about judges and expert witnesses from directly within the Courtroom Insight product” says Bob Ambrogi, lawyer and legal tech journalist. This partnership will reduce attorney’s platform fatigue by allowing their mutual customers to access information about judges and expert witnesses on one platform: Courtroom Insight’s knowledge management product.
